*News* (April 8th): Our 2012 summer CSA still has a few openings. If you are considering joining please send in your form as soon as possible as space is limited.
We are a small, family run operation established in 2009. Our main focus is a wide variety of sustainably grown vegetables offered at local markets and through a CSA program, however we also raise Newfoundland sheep, a rare breed, Muscovy ducks, and free range eggs. Everything we raise or grow is done with the idea of aiding the natural process, rather than working against it.
Being a mixed farm we can reap the benefits of several different areas of agriculture working together to make the farm function more naturally. For example, we have the manure from the sheep working to fertilize the vegetables once it has decomposed instead of using chemical fertilizers and the muscovy ducks eat the flies that would flourish in an environment with only sheep.
